Anna University will conduct its 39th annual convocation ceremony on 22nd December 2018. The convocation will take place at the Vivekananda Auditorium, College of Engineering, Anna University.
According to the official release of the varsity, all the Ph.D. degree holders will receive their respective graduate degrees in person at the event itself. Apart from them, the first rank holders of full-time B.E, B.Tech and B.Arch courses will also be awarded degrees and gold medals in person.

The convocation admits cards will be sent to all the students who will be receiving the degrees in-person. This includes Ph.D. degree holders and first rank holders of B.E., B.Tech and B.Arch courses.

Students can check out the list of first rank holders of full-time courses (B.E./B.Tech/B/Arch.) courses on the official website of the University. In case of any queries, students can directly contact the college Principal regarding the same.
Meanwhile, Anna University has postponed all its exams in the state due to the Gaja Cyclone. The university cancelled the theory examination for all its affiliated colleges. The exam will take place on 22nd November 2018. Apart from Chennai, the exam for many other adjoining areas like Andaman and Nicobar Island and others has also been rescheduled to 22nd November. Due to the cyclone, many people from the danger zones were evacuated and were shifted to the safe place.
