AP EdCET 2019 - Eligibility, Application Process, Exam Pattern and Important Dates

AP EdCET 2019 online application process has begun and the exam will be conducted on May 06, 2019. Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Tirupati will be conducting AP EdCET 2019 for admissions to B.Ed courses.

AP EdCET 2019 - Eligibility, Application Process, Exam Pattern and Important Dates

Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) Tirupati has issued official notification for AP EdCET 2019 (Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test) on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education). SVU has been given the responsibility of AP EdCET 2019. It is an entrance test conducted for the admission to B.Ed course. All the details related to AP EdCET 2019 are elaborated below.

AP EdCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • All the candidates who either passed or appearing for final year examinations of BCA/ BBM/ B.Com/ B.Sc Home Science/ B.Sc/ B.A are eligible to appear for AP EdCET 2019.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in the above-mentioned courses for the General Category candidates should be 50% and 40% for Reserved Categories.
  • B.E/ B.Tech graduates or final year students with Mathematics and Physics as the subjects are also eligible to appear for AP EdCET 2019.
  • The lower age limit of the applicants should be 19 years as on July 01 of the year in which notification is issued. There is no upper age limit.

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria for Mathematics Methodology

  • Candidates opting for Mathematics as a methodology in B.Ed must be a B.A/ B.Sc graduate with Mathematics as one of the group subjects.
  • BCA graduates with Mathematics at Intermediate level can also apply.
  • B.E and B.Tech students with Mathematics and Physics can also choose Mathematics in B.Ed

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria for Biological Sciences

  • B.Sc or B.Sc Home Science graduates or final year students with Botany, Zoology or allied life sciences as subjects of study are eligible to apply.
  • BCA candidates who studied Biology at Intermediate level can also apply.

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria for Physical Sciences

  • B.Sc candidates in Physics, Chemistry or allied material science subjects are eligible to apply.
  • BCA students who passed intermediate in M.P.C or Bi.P.C stream can also apply.

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria for Social Studies

  • B.A. or M.A students can apply for Social Studies
  • B.Com/ BBA / BCA students who studied Social Sciences (M.E.C, C.E.C or H.E.C) at the intermediate level can choose Social Studies.

AP EdCET Eligibility Criteria for English

  • B.A. English Literature or M.A English Literature graduates are eligible to take AP EdCET 2019 exam in English subject.

AP EdCET 2019 Application Process

  • Online applications can be submitted through the official website of APSCHE
  • The first stage of the application process is Exam Fee Payment
  • AP EdCET 2019 exam fee for SC/ST categories is Rs. 450 and Rs. 650 for General Category
  • The second stage is checking the confirmation of fee payment
  • The third stage is filling online application
  • The last stage of the application process is confirmation of the application and taking the printout of the same.

AP EdCET 2019 Cut-Off: -

  • There is no minimum qualifying mark for SC/ ST categories
  • There is no minimum qualifying mark for women candidates in Physical Sciences and Mathematics methodologies
  • For candidates belonging to General and BC categories, the minimum qualifying is 25%, i.e., 37 out of 150 marks.
