- Candidates can submit their online applications for MBBS/BDS courses latest by 23rd June.
The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Punjab has started its application process for the combined counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS programmes in all medical colleges affiliated to the university. The last date for the online application for MBBS/ BDS courses is 23rd June 2018. The varsity is yet to release the fee structure for the undergraduate programmes.
Apart from this, it has also made mandatory for the aspirants to submit domicile certificates and affidavits by their guardians and parents stating that the aspirants have not obtained the benefit of residence for admission in MBBS/BDS course in any other state. The university has introduced strict measures to keep a check on candidates allegedly taking multiple domicile benefits.

Arvind Sharma, Registrar at BFUHS said that the varsity will organise a meeting with the officials to take the final call on the distribution of seats for undergraduate programmes.
Sri Guru Ramdas Medical College, Amritsar, has released its seat distribution and fee structure on its official website for the MBBS programme. The fees for the MBBS programme (Reserved/General Minority/Open Merit) is Rs.6.6 lakh with 10% fee hike every year. Whereas the fees for the NRI candidates is $1.10 million for the entire programme. The college is offering a total of 150 MBBS seats. Out of which 75 seats are reserved for open merit which further includes 11 NRI and 64 general seats.

SGRDMC principal Manjit Singh Uppal said though they have uploaded the details, the final decision will be taken after the meeting with the Directorate of Medical Education and Research.
