Bhagalpur University participated in the SOA premier league T-20 cricket championship at the SOA stadium Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
The University of Bhagalpur played against the Utkal University but unfortunately lost to it in the group – A matches. The interuniversity T-20 cricket championship had been organized at the Bhubaneswar in the SOA stadium. The match between the Bhagalpur university and the Utkal University was played on Tuesday, i.e April 6th, 2016.
Utkal University won the toss and decided to bat first. The university made a total of 184 runs in a total of 20 overs. Om Bikash of the Utkal University hit a total of 52 runs in 34 balls. He also hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. Abinash of the university claimed 2 wickets, conceding thirty-six runs for the Bhagalpur University.
The university of Bhagalpur had a tough fight chasing a difficult target. The university of Bhagalpur was not able to make 178 run for 8 with Dibyajyoti Rath snaring 4 wickets for thirty-five runs. Ayush Thakur made a total of 39 runs and was the highest scorer for the University of Bhagalpur.
The scores for the Utkal University were 184 for 5 wickets in a total of 20 overs.
