BHU or Banaras Hindu University is offering 'Malaviya Postdoctoral Fellowships' to Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, PIOs, and OCIs. The application form has been released and candidates eligible to apply can visit the official BHU website. The last date to submit the application form is 17th June 2022.
The government of India has granted the university an ‘Institution of Eminence’ status, thus enabling it to introduce the fellowship program. The university offers up to 100 positions in all streams of science, humanities, social science, and other professional streams.
Duration of the Course
Fellowships are for two years and can be extended for one additional year on favourable evaluation. In addition to receiving Rs 1 lakh per month as part of the Fellowship, candidates will also receive an annual research grant of Rs 3 lakh.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria include the education qualification and age limit. Check the point below-
Education Qualification
- A Ph.D with a strong academic record from one of the top 500 research institutions in the world or,
- The applicant must have had two years of postdoctoral experience at a top 500 institution, as ranked by THE or Q-S ranking.
Age Limit
- As of June 17, 2022, candidates applying for the MPDF should be under 35 years old.
