ISRO selected 150 students out of 1 lakh aspirants for the YUVIKA residential program. The training program is being held for 12 days, from May 16 to May 28, 2022. Check the details here.
YUVIKA is an Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) residential training program for the Class 9 students. ISRO selected 150 students for the residential training program. The selection was done out of 1 lakh children across the country. The selection was done based on the academic scores, and achievements in the co-curricular activities.

What Programs are included in YUVIKA 2022 Residential Training?
Under the YUVIKA Residential Training program, the students will get a chance to meet eminent scientists in their classroom lectures, lab/ facility visits, hands-on activities, robotic assembly, sky gazing, cansat experiments etc. Apart from that, the students will visit the SDSC SHAR-Sriharikota, the spaceport of India and will meet the Chairman of ISRO.
ISRO YUVIKA Residential Training Centres
As per the announcement, the YUVIKA training program will be started on May 16 and will be continued till May 28, 2022. The training will be conducted across 5 centres of ISRO, such as VSSC-Trivandrum, SAC-Ahmedabad, URSC-Bengaluru, NRSC-Hyderabad and NESAC-Shillong.
Initially, the Secretary, DOS/ Chairperson, ISRO inaugurated the YUVIKA 2022 as a virtual event on May 16, 2022. There would be the directors of all the major centres, Scientific Secretary, ISRO, Dr TK ALEX and Director, CBPO.
After addressing the gathering, the Secretary, DOS/ Chairman, ISRO- Shri Somnath S invited all the selected students. Chairman also urged the students to fully utilize this opportunity to communicate with the senior scientists and technocrats in the coming two weeks. He also added that the students will get a chance to learn multiple domains like Astrobiology, Material Science, Material Science, Astrophysics, Mathematics, Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science etc, which are the integrated part of space learning technology.
If the students will get satisfaction from the YUVIKA Residential Training program, then they can share their experiences with their schoolmates, teacher and general public. This is a positive way of inspiring others.
