BHU or Banaras Hindu University has released an official announcement inviting applications to fill 479 teaching and group ‘A’ vacancies. As per the advertisement issued by BHU on 27th June 2020, aspirants can apply online on the official website of the university until 31st July 2020. However, the hard copy of the downloaded application forms can be submitted along with enclosures at the university until 3rd August 2020.
As per the advertisement released by BHU, only those individuals who have a minimum working experience of 3 years and have completed their qualification in the relevant medical stream of MD/MS/MDS will be appointed as professors, associate professors, assistant professors or non-teaching Group A director on the fixed pay matrix level. The minimum eligibility criteria for non-medical teaching positions will be based on the norms prescribed by the UGC.
Candidates belonging to EWS, OBC and unreserved categories will have to make a payment of a non-refundable online registration fee of Rs. 1,000. Aspirants falling under the category of SC, ST or PwD are exempted from payment of the application fee. The last date for submission of fee is 31st July 2020.
How to Apply Online for Teaching and Group ‘A’ Vacancies at BHU?
To apply online for the 479 vacancies issued by BHU, candidates have to follow the steps enlisted below.
Visit the official website of BHU.
The home page consists of a column reading ‘Teaching Positions’.
Aspirants can download the notification by clicking on the relevant link mentioned below ‘Teaching Positions’.
Select the option ‘Click here to Apply’.
A new window will appear with the important instructions.
Go through them carefully and click on 'I agree'.
After getting redirected to the application portal click on register.
After successful registration, username and password will be provided to the candidate.
Login using the same username and password.
Fill all the important personal and academic credentials.
Select the desired position.
Make the application fee payment of Rs. 1,000. (not required from SC/ST/PwD category candidates)
The registration will be considered successful only after the university has received the payment made by an individual.
It should be noted that applicants who have previously applied for the Rolling Advt. No. 01/2018-2019 & 01/2017-2018 are also required to re-apply for this advertisement online.
Also, the candidates who have earlier registered against the Rolling Advt. No. 01/2019-2020 (Postcodes- 30234, 30235, 30236, 30237, 30240, 30241, 30243, 30244, 30247,30249, 30250, 30251, 30252, 30254, 30255, 30256, 30257, 30258, 30259, 30260, 30262, 30263, 30264, 30265, 30268, 30300, 30305, 30352, 30357, 30359, 30372, 30393, 30396, 30397, 30398, 30399, 30400, 30401, 30410, 30420, 30441) can update their application form/apply afresh online. They need not make the application fee payment. The terms and conditions along with the eligibility criteria for such applicants will be considered on the last date of submission of the application of the BHU advertisement.

Candidates who have earlier applied against Advt. No. 03/2013-2014 and 06/2016-2017 (Post Code-1536) may apply afresh online against 10193, i.e. a new postcode.
