BITSAT Chemistry 2025 Most Important Topics and Questions: There are 30 questions in the Chemistry section which accounts for a total of 23% weightage in the BITSAT Chemistry 2025 exam. Approximately 30–35% of the Chemistry section in the BITSAT exam consists of Physical Chemistry with at least 9–10 questions. The major high-weightage topics are Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, the structure of Atoms and Mole Concepts. Many students find Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics challenging and somewhat difficult, but these topics carry higher number of questions in the Chemistry section of the exam. About 35–40%, i.e. around 11–12 questions come from Organic Chemistry, which carries the highest weightage.

The major subjects in Organic Chemistry are Hydrocarbons, General Organic Chemistry, Functional Groups that include oxygen and nitrogen, how each reaction happens and Carboxylic Acids and their compounds. Stereochemistry matters as well, though it may be challenging since it involves difficult concepts. About 7–8 questions (25–30% of the paper) are part of Inorganic Chemistry. Remember to study Chemical Bonding (10% weightage), the Periodic Table, s-block and p-block elements and Coordination Compounds. Topics like Chemical Bonding and Periodic Table are thought to be easier and students can score well in this area, however, p-block elements need to be studied in detail.
