A total of 10 state universities in Bihar have commenced the online application procedure for admissions to the undergraduate level programmes offered in each of these universities. The Bihar universities online application process began on 20th June 2018.
Given below is the list of universities that have started the UG admission online application process:
- Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University
- LN Mithila University
- Veer Kunwar Singh University
- Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University
- Patliputra University
- Purnea University
- BN Mandal University
- Munger University
- JP University
- Magadh University

The online application process is being conducted by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). Interested candidates can apply for the undergraduate programmes latest by 28th June. Candidates who have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination can apply for these courses.
While applying online, candidates will be required to submit the name of the courses for which they are applying along with the preference of colleges and institutes. Candidates can choose up to a maximum of 20 courses and colleges in the state. The online application fee is Rs.300.
This is the first year of the centralized admission process for undergraduate courses in Bihar. Earlier, the admission to the respective colleges and universities was done on the basis their class 12th marks except for Patna University which used to conduct entrance exam for admissions.

As per Anand Kishor, BSEB Chairman, the online admission portal at colleges in the state will bring more transparency and efficiency in the undergraduate admission. He further informed that the state government has set up around 2800 Sahaj Vasudha Kendras or help centres that will assist those students who do not have computers and access to the internet at home in filling up the application forms. Students will also get an option to apply through district registration and counseling centers.
