- Bihar Board will introduce 50% Multiple Choice Questions in Class 10 & Class 12 exams.
- The new exam pattern will allow students to score higher marks in their board examinations.
BSBE (Bihar School Examination Board) is all set to follow a new exam pattern for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams that will be held in 2018. The board has already issued the timetable for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Chairperson of BSBE, Mr. Anand Kumar revealed that the new pattern would be highly beneficial to students, as it will have more objective type questions. Students can score higher marks with the new pattern, and the board is expecting more than 90% highest score this year, he added.
Under the new exam pattern for Class 10 & Class 12, board exams, 50% of questions will be MCQ-based, and the rest of the questions will be short answer questions (2 marks each) and long answer questions (5 marks each).

According to new exam pattern, students will be given 15 Multiple Choice Questions, out of which they need to attempt 10. On the other hand, there will be 100% extra options to choose from short answer questions. For instance, if there are 10 questions given in the exam, the students can answer any five. For long answer questions, there will be one option each with every question.
The new exam pattern will be applicable in numerical questions in science and mathematics papers. In case of language papers, each question may carry five marks, which will generally have comprehension and essay type questions.

The same questions papers (new pattern) for Class 12 (Intermediate) will be uploaded on the official website of BSBE on November 1, 2017, while the sample papers (new pattern) for Class 10 will be uploaded on November 7, 2017.
