Category-wise IIM Calcutta CAT 2025 Cutoff Percentile for Preliminary Shortlisting

Category-wise IIM Calcutta CAT 2025 Cutoff Percentile for Preliminary Shortlisting: IIM Calcutta's CAT 2025 cutoff percentile for preliminary shortlisting is based on category-wise minimum requirements for Stage I, which includes section-wise and overall percentiles. For the open category, candidates need to meet the minimum cutoffs of 80th percentile in VARC, 80th percentile in DILR, 75th percentile in QA, and 85th overall percentile. Candidates who meet these requirements and secure non-negative raw scores in all sections of CAT 2025 will be shortlisted for Stage II, which includes Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). The shortlisting is also based on other parameters like academic performance and gender diversity.

The minimum cutoffs for IIM Calcutta CAT 2025 across categories are mentioned in the table below. Do note, actual cutoff percentiles may be higher, depending on the number of candidates called for PI in each category.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, with relaxations for SC, ST, and PwD categories. The degree must be from a recognised university or institution. Candidates appearing for their final year of bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification can also apply, provided they submit a certificate from their college/institute/university by June 30, 2026, stating that they have completed all requirements for obtaining the degree.

Candidates who graduated between 2020 and 2023 and were awarded only pass marks can also apply, subject to submitting a certificate from their college/institute/university. Those who have not received their graduation results at the time of registration must produce original certificates and mark sheets by September 30, 2026. IIM Calcutta reserves the right to verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, and meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting.
