CBSE: Crime Branch to Continue Investigation in Class 10 Math Paper Leak

CBSE: Crime Branch to Continue Investigation in Class 10 Math Paper Leak

Although Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided not to conduct a re-test for the Class X maths paper it will not stop Delhi Police Crime Branch to continue their investigation into it since they have discovered the involvement of multiple coaching centers and schools in the alleged leak.

According to the FIR registered by the Crime Branch on 28 March 2018, the complaint by the Board stated that they have a received a mail eight hours before the examination was set to start. As per the reports, nine questions from the maths exam paper were leaked and the same questions were circulated on the WhatsApp.

During the investigation, Crime Branch found out various photographs of the question paper that were circulating on the WhatsApp. They are questioning the students and tutors from whom the images of the leaked question paper have been recovered, they are yet to find out the actual source of these photographs.

The Crime Branch has also informed the Board that they have also recovered WhatsApp images of the handwritten questions from cell phones of students of a popular renowned coaching institute located in west Delhi. The handwriting of the mail sent to CBSE and the ones found on the cell phone of students are similar and the Crime Branch is working hard to find out the actual source of images. However, they have already seized cell phones of various teachers and students.
