CBSE has decided to issue duplicate CBSE certificates to students whose school certificates were either lost or damaged in the Kerala floods. There are approximately 1300 schools in Kerala affiliated with CBSE and most of these schools have requested CBSE to issue duplicate certificates for students.

A CBSE board official said, that many of the affiliated schools have approached them for issuance of duplicate certificates and in most of the cases, the certificates are either lost or damaged in the flood and destruction caused in Kerala.

Board certificates are crucial for a student while applying for colleges as well as jobs and they act as proof of birth as well. So CBSE is considering to put up a system for students of Kerala so that they can issue their CBSE certificates as soon as possible.

The academic documents from the current date back to 2004 are available on the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education academic repository, but the procedures are new and might take time to perform well, the board is trying to accelerate the process for the benefit of the students.
