The Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput has decided to join Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET-UG) for completing the admission process of undergraduate programs. However, for session 2022, the CUET PG is not yet mandatory for the Central University of Odisha. In the meantime, the authorities of CUO have decided to join CUET 2022 for post graduation admission.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the CUET UG 2022 for all the Central Universities under the ministry of education. The authorities will look after the entire process of registration, declaration of result, and releasing of score cards. Nonetheless, the participating Universities will prepare the merit list on their own and organize the counselling process based on the scorecard provided by the NTA. After that the respective University will make the final merit list based on the respective reservation rules and other eligibility criteria.
As per the statement of Ram Shankar, nodal officer of CUET, in 2022, CUO will offer a five year Integrated Mathematics course for the students, who will qualify the CUET UG 2022 exam. Whereas the CUO will offer 12 PG programmes and one BEd programme under CUET PG.
On the other hand, the Vice Chancellor of CUO, Sharat Kumar Palita stated the CUET will be held by NTA at 28 exam centres across Odisha. The mode of exam will be online (Computer Based Test). If the candidates are planning to apply for CUET 2022, then they should visit the official website, nta.ac.in and cuet.samarth.ac.in. They can also reach their helpline numbers.
About CUET 2022
As per the official notification, the CUET UG 2022 exam will be commenced in July 2022. After counselling, the candidates can take admission in any of the 45 Central Universities of India. Interested candidates can apply for the same on or before May 22, 2022 from the official website of CUET.
