Important points regarding it as mentioned in the notice by the consortium are: 

• Candidates may update their preferences for admission to NLUs anytime before 11:59 pm, December 17, 2022. Any requests for a change in preferences for admission to NLUs after 11:59 pm on December 17, 2022 will not be accommodated.
• Candidates must fill a minimum of 5 (five) preferences. There is no outer limit to the number of preferences that may be filled.
• Candidates will be considered for admission only to the NLUs filled by them in their preference form
• Before filling the preference form for admission to NLUs, candidates must check the respective NLU’s brochure to confirm that they are eligible to apply for admission to the programme that they are filling in their preference list.

• Candidates must double-check all of the pages and questions in their Question Booklet before marking the answers. 

• If a Sealed Plastic Envelope holding a fresh Question Booklet and OMR Response Sheet is missing, poorly printed, or damaged, inform the same to the invigilator and get a fresh booklet. 

• The answers shall not be marked on the question paper.

• Candidates must not fold, wrinkle, or damage the OMR Response Sheet in any way.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Exam Day Instructions (1/2)

The following are the guidelines for CLAT 2023 exam day:

• Aspirants must be present at their examination centre by 1 PM and be seated in the examination hall by 1:30 PM in their allocated seats.

• After entering the examination hall, candidates will not be able to leave until the exam ends, i.e., until 4 PM.

• Latecomers will be denied entry to the examination hall after 2:15 PM.

• No extra time will be provided for the completion of the paper for the latecomers.

• Candidates must sign and fill out all of the information on the front page of the OMR Response Sheet, including the admit card number, question paper booket number, etc.

Submission of at least 5 preferences is mandatory. However, it is advised to submit more preferences as the candidate will only be considered for admission at these colleges, regardless if there are vacancies or lower cutoff at other NLUs.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Penalty for Misconduct

If any candidate is found guilty of misconduct, the actions as follows will be taken against the candidate:

• The candidate will immediately be prohibited from taking the examination.

• In a severe case, the candidate might be permanently disqualified from appearing for CLAT examination.

If any candidate has been found guilty of the following, no consideration for the candidate in any regard will be provided:

• Bringing any prohibited items inside the examination room.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Eligibility Criteria for NLUs

In its official notice, the consortium of NLUs wrote, "Before filling the preference form for admission to NLUs, candidates must check the respective NLU’s brochure to confirm that they are eligible to apply for admission to the programme that they are filling in their preference list."

If at the time of admission, the candidate cannot fulfil the eligibility criteria. then his/her admission to the NLU will be cancelled.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Is it mandatory to submit admission preferences?

Yes, it is mandatory for the candidates to submit their admission preferences. The link to download CLAT 2023 admit card will only be generated once the admission preferences are submitted and confirmed. The official notice by the consortium reads, "It is mandatory for the candidates to fill their admission preferences to the NLUs before downloading their Admit Card for the CLAT 2023."

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Editing of Admission Preferences

Before the deadline or before voluntarily confirming the admission preferences, it can be edited any number of times. However, once the candidate confirms the options preferences or if the deadline is over, then no admission preferences can be edited. It is also to be noted that the consortium will not open any admission preferences editing window later on. Therefore, caution must be exercised while filling out the admission preferences.

Possible Errors in CLAT Admit Card 2023

Candidates shall go through the following and assure that there is no error present. If there is, it must be corrected by contacting the consortium before the exam day. 

• The roll number of the candidate should be printed on the admit card. 

• The candidate's name must be appropriately spelt.

• The date of birth (DOB) on the admit card must match that on the application form and valid documents.

• The photo and signature of the applicant must be clearly visible.

• The test city listed on CLAT admit card must be chosen from the alternatives offered in the application form.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Reporting Time

The candidates must report at least an hour before the time of the commencement of the examination. CLAT 2023 will be conducted on December 18, 2022 for two hours from 2 PM to 4 PM. Therefore, it is mandatory for the candidate to report at the allotted examination centre by 1 PM.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Exam Day Dress Code

When appearing for CLAT 2023, it is important to follow the dress code, which is as suggested here:

• The candidate must wear half-sleeved clothing.

• The candidate should not wear any badges or huge buttons that may be used to conceal something.

• Shoes are not permitted at the test centre. The c andidates must wear either sandals or slippers.

• Within the testing facility, only analogue watches are authorised.

• The candidates should not bring valuables to CLAT 2023 exam centre since there is no safekeeping facility.

• Candidates are not allowed to wear rings, nose pins, chains, badges, etc.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Steps to Download

Step 1: Go to https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: Sign in with your registered mobile phone number and password.

Step 3: Now select the 'Update Preferences' option and enter at least five preferences. It is to be noted that there is no upper limit. Submit your choices.

Step 4:  CLAT admit card link will now display on the screen; click it to download the admit card.

No, CLAT admit card 2023 has not yet been released. The consortium has only declared the timing at which CLAT admit card link and admission preferences link will be activated and their deadline. Registered candidates must submit their admission preferences at NLUs and download their admit card from 6 PM today to 11:59 PM of December 17.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Admission Preferences

Candidates will only be considered for admission to the NLUs listed on their preference form. For example, if a candidate has selected only five NLUs, they will be considered for seat allocation only at those five NLUs and not at any other NLU. This is true even if vacancies are available in other NLUs and even if the candidate's merit rank is greater than the cut-off list released by NLUs not selected by the candidate.

Other than the exam day documents (CLAT 2023 admit card, original ID proof, medical health certificate), candidates are also required to carry a ball-point pen for the exam. A transparent water bottle and a transparent sanitizer bottle is also allowed. Candidates must also wear masks while giving the examination.

CLAT Medical Health Certificate will be made available alongside the CLAT admit card 2023 online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium of NLUs has released the first two sample question paper sets for CLAT 2023 examination. However, CLAT sample paper 3 has not yet been released, although the date for its release was said to be November 2022. For each section, the consortium has declared a separate weightage of questions. CLAT 2023 question paper will be set as per these guidelines:

• English Language: 28 to 32 questions

• Current Affairs & General Knowledge: 35 to 39 questions

• Logical Reasoning: 28 to 32 questions

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Increase in Seat Intake at NLSIU

This year, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has expanded the number of BA LLB and LLM seats furthermore after its revision last year. According to the university's official brochure, it will now provide 240 seats in BA LLB programme and 100 seats in LLM programme. Last year, the institution provided 180 BA LLB seats and 70 LLM seats.

Instructions regarding CLAT Admit Card 2023

•  A soft copy of CLAT admit card will not be accepted at the examination centre.

• Candidates must print their admit card on an A4-size paper only.

CLAT Admit Card 2023: Documents Required on Exam Day

In order for the candidate to be allowed to take the examination, the candidate's identity is verified using any government-issued ID proof of the candidate. The valid ID proof is to be brought to the exam centre as original document. A Xerox copy of it is not allowed. Any of the following documents pass as a valid photo ID proof of the candidate:

• Aadhar Card

• PAN Card

• Voter's Card

• Driving License

• Passport

Aside from this, CLAT 2023 admit card too is a mandatory document without which the candidates will not be allowed to take the examination.

The total number of seats available for UG programmes at the NLUs through CLAT UG 2023 is 3175. Out of these, only 1714 are all-India seats. Consequently going into further segregation, the total number of seats available for LLM programme at all NLUs is 1132.
