Along with the second cutoff list, the authority also releases the seat allotment list today. To check the CLAT second cutoff list, candidates should visit the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, and log in using their registered mobile number and password. Candidates who have been allotted a seat via the CLAT round counselling, as per their preference, should accept the seat, freeze the allotment, and pay the consortium fee on or before January 29, 2026 (by 1 PM).

Candidates who have not secured a seat via the second round CLAT allotment or want to upgrade the allotted seat via the next round of counselling can participate in the subsequent round of counselling. For the same, the seat allottees should choose the Float option. As per the schedule, the third round CLAT seat allotment list will be released on February 5, 2026, at 10 AM.

What if any discrepancy is found in documents?
During the admission, if the authority of the allotted colleges finds any discrepancy in the uploaded documents, then the admission of that candidate will be rejected, and they will get a penalty of Rs 5000.

What if I fail the last date of paying the seat acceptance fees?
If the candidates fail to pay the seat acceptance fees and confirm the allotment by the deadline, then they will not be allowed to do it again under any circumstances and the allotted seats will be cancelled automatically.

- The candidates will not be considered for the further admission process
- Also, they will lose the currently allocated seats
- They will not be eligible to participate in the next rounds of counselling
- The names of those candidates will be removed from the admission counselling list

- After freezing the option, the candidates should pay the remaining university fee (after adjusting the counselling registration fees and seat acceptance fees)
- The last date for paying the remaining University fees is by April 24, 2026

- If the candidates choose the exit option after paying the seat acceptance fees, then the amount will not be refunded
- If the candidates exit by May 8, 2026, then they will get the full refund amount
- Exit after May 8, 2026, will not be eligible to get the full refund. In such a case, the candidates will get partial refund of Rs 5000

- If the candidates do not want to continue the CLAT counselling process further, they can choose the exit option. In such a case, the allotted seat will be forfeited immediately

The general category candidates whose rank is below 5000 can expect to get a seat in any of the NLUs. Note, after round 2 of CLAT counselling, the available seats will also less. hence, the chances of securing a seat will be more competitive in the upcoming rounds.

CLAT Second Cutoff List 2026: Is 25000 a good rank?
As per the experts and based on the previous years' trends, it is assumed that the 25000 rank in CLAT 2026 is not a good score, with which the candidates might not be admitted to any of the top NLUs. Only the reserved category candidates with 25000 can expect to get a seat in the top-tier NLUs.

CLAT Second Cutoff List 2026: Seat Acceptance Fees
If the candidates choose any of the Float or Freeze options, then they should pay Rs 30000 (Rs 20000 seat acceptance fee for the reserve category candidates). Note that the seat acceptance fee is non-refundable. Candidates should pay the fees on or before the last date. Post that, the authority will not allow anybody to pay it under any circumstances.

CLAT Second Cutoff List 2026: Last Date of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment
Candidates who have been allotted seats via the second round should pay the confirmation fees to freeze the seat on or before January 29, 2026 (up to 1 PM). There is no chance of extending the last date of seat acceptance fees.
