Further, for admissions to top institutes, candidates are expected to score 100+ marks, indicating an expected rank of 2,200 or below. For candidates with a rank up to 2,000, admission to the top-tier engineering institutes as per their choice of course. Also, candidates belonging to up to the 10,000th rank may expect to be admitted to their choice of course in some of the best engineering institutes. Scoring 50+ marks is considered a low score with an expected rank up to 75,000, where the scope of admission is narrow for general category candidates.
