The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is taking a lot of heat due to recent crime activities which took place on the campus. On 27th July’ 16, news of a student of DAVV being stabbed came. The incident took place inside the campus which frightened the students. The bad news is that this is not the upsetting part, the most upsetting part is that the authorities did not even try to help the victim. All this was the result of poor quality campus security which the authorities have promised to upgrade soon.
The institute was recently in NAAC i.e. National Assessment and Accreditation Council survey of higher universities graded ‘A’. With the increases in the number of students, the Institute was becoming one of the first options in Indore but the poor quality security is making it a ‘D’ grade institute. Students are really scared to take admission to this university especially girls.
