CSIR NET December 2025 Registration: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) December 2025 registration is ongoing, with the last date to submit applications set for October 24, 2025, at 11:50 PM , and fee payment allowed until October 25, 2025 . Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam is a crucial gateway for candidates aspiring for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and admission to PhD programs in science disciplines. Candidates who make mistakes during registration can correct their forms during the NTA correction window from October 27 to 29, 2025 .

CSIR NET December 2025 Registration Process

Step 1: Registration
Candidates are advised to register online by providing their personal details, password, as well as a security question along with its answer. Upon Submission, a system-generated application number will be given, which will be used for all future logins, for filling the form, and for correspondence with NTA.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

Fill in the personal details, select the exam paper, and the educational qualifications.

Upload scanned copies of required documents:

• Recent coloured photograph (10-200 KB, white background, no caps/goggles)
• Signature (10-50 KB)
• Relevant certificates (50–300 KB), e.g., category, PwD, or result-awaiting certificate, if applicable

Step 3: Payment of Examination Fee

Candidates can pay exam fee online through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card,

• General: Rs. 1150/-
• General EWS, OBC NCL (Central List): Rs. 600/-
• SC/ST/Third Gender/ PwD/PwBD: Rs. 325/-
• Processing charges and GST are applicable in addition to the fee.

The CSIR NET December 2025 exam is scheduled for December 18, 2025 , in two shifts — 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM . The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will cover Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences, testing candidates’ conceptual understanding, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills. Admit cards will be issued a few days before the exam, and candidates will be informed of their exam centers through the official portal csirnet.nta.nic.in.
