During his recent visit to India, German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz announced that the German Government plans to make the Visa application process easier for Indian IT workers in a bid to attract software developers and investors. 
  • UK beats India to become the world’s 6th largest stock market with a market cap of $3.11 trillion:

The United Kingdom has overshadowed India to become the 6th largest equity market in the world. On Tuesday, the market capitalization of all of the UK’s primary listings combined, excluding ADRs and ETFs, reached an estimated $3.11 trillion, which, reportedly, was some $5.1 billion higher than the Indian counterparts. 

  • Oil prices rise over 1% with the fear of increasing demand in China:  

Oil prices in China rose by over 1% on Monday with the fear of increasing demand as the country reopens doors after a prolonged zero-COVID policy.

  • PM Modi launches Shivamogga Airport, inaugurates multiple Development Projects in Karnataka:

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, recently launched the Shivamogga Airport built for a cost of INR 450 Cr. in Karnataka. Besides, PM Modi also set off several development projects across the state, promising to build new railway tracks from Shikaripura – Ranebennur at an estimated cost of INR 990 Cr. 

  • CM Bommai to announce special corporations for the development of weavers soon:

Karnataka CM, Basavaraj Bommai, said on Sunday, the decision to set up a separate special corporation for the development of weavers across the state will be made shortly. "So far, over 1.5 lakh weavers have received INR 51 Crores transferred to their bank accounts through DBT schemes’, he stated.
