In an official notification issued by the University of Delhi, applications are invited from foreign students for the admission to UG, PG, Ph.D. and M.Phil courses for the academic session 2018-19. The DU application process for foreign nationals will begin from February 15, 2018. DU offers 250 courses at different levels and there is no entrance test for foreign students. The varsity further specified that the application process for the courses would be online. The online applications can be submitted through official Foreign Registry Website of Delhi University.

General Admission Guidelines for Foreign Students: -
- Delhi University will not grant admission based on Tourist Visa or X-Visa
- All the foreign applicants must have English Proficiency Certificate of TOFEL with a minimum score of 70 or IELTS with a minimum 6 band score. Only these students will be eligible for the admission.
- If the foreign nationals do not have a valid TOFEL/ IELTS score, they are required to complete the Intermediate level in English proficiency course offered by Department of Adult and Continuing Education, Delhi University. Students will have to complete this course before the completion of the first-year course.
- All the foreign students must get the medical insurance policy with evacuation clause.
