Delhi University Receives More Than 3 Lakh Applications

Until 6pm on 16th June’ 16, Delhi University (DU) received over 3 lakh applications for the undergraduate programs for the academic year 2016. The total number of applications received was 3,03,879. Out of the 3,03,879, 1,84,810 have already deposited the form fee.

This year, Delhi University has gone completely digital, unlike last year when both online and offline processes of applications were available to those seeking admissions in the prestigious university.


The number of girl students who applied was 92,413 and on the other hand, the number of boy students who applied was 92,387. Out of all these, 911 students belongs to the PwD category and 10 students belongs to the 'Others' category.


The registration procedure for DU admissions 2016 commenced in an online mode from 1st June’ 16 and was supposed to end on 19th June’ 16. However, the registration deadline has now been extended till 22nd June '16.


The first cut-off list will be declared on 27th June’ 16. This year, only five cut-off lists will be released by the University.
