Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Govt. of India has come up with a Scholarship Scheme for Girls pursuing higher education in Aerospace Engineering/ Space Engineering/ Aircraft Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Avionics. The DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls is implemented through AR& DB.
The aim of the DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls is to nurture quality aeronautics human professional in the country. The scheme will help to attract female students from various institutes and to enhance their skills in the respective field. In total, DRDO is offering 20 scholarships at the undergraduate level. The amount of the scholarship is Rs.1, 20,000 year or annual fees of the course whichever is less. It will be offered for four years. At the postgraduate level, DRDO is offering 10 scholarships. The amount of the scholarship is Rs. 15,500 monthly per subject and can go up to Rs.1,86,000 per year for a maximum of two years.
DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls Eligibility Criteria 2019
To be eligible for DRDO Scholarship Scheme at UG level candidates must be an Indian National and should have got admission in the first year of the current academic year to the relevant B.E./ B. Tech./B.Sc Engg. programme. Candidates must have a valid JEE Main score.
For DRDO Scholarship Scheme at PG level candidates must be an Indian National and must have secured admission in the 1st year of the current academic year to the relevant ME/M.TECH / M.Sc Engg course.
It is mandatory for the candidates to score a minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam (graduation level: BE/B Tech/B Engg. or equivalent) for getting admission to the subject course as per the guidelines set by AICTE/MHRD. Also, the candidate must have a valid GATE score.

DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls Selection Process 2019
The selection at the UG level will be on the basis of candidates score in JEE Main exam whereas at the postgraduate level it is done on the basis of GATE score.
