DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment 2022 has been released on September 06, 2022, in online mode at poly22.dte.maharashtra.gov.in. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment for the second round using their Application ID and Date of Birth. As the Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment is out, candidates will have to freeze or float their seats by online self-reporting from September 07 toSeptember 10, 2022. The instructions to accept the seat or to go for higher options during the online self-reporting process are given below in detail. If the seat is accepted (freeze), then such candidates must report offline at their allotted institute and confirm their admissions between September 07 to September 11, or else their allotted seat will stand cancelled.

DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment 2022: Reporting Process

The following is the reporting process after the release of the DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment 2022:

  • The candidates who have been allotted a seat for the first time in CAP Round 2 must verify their seat allotment by logging in at poly22.dte.maharashtra.gov.in. For such candidates, the payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 1000/-) is mandatory otherwise the candidate will have no claim to the allotted seat.
  • The candidates who are allotted Preference 1 must accept their seats by online self-reporting first and then by taking admission at the allotted institute. Their choice will be Auto-Freezed and all such candidates, irrespective of taking admission or not, will be ineligible for all the subsequent counselling rounds.
  • For the candidates who were earlier allotted a seat in CAP Round 1 but are not allotted the first preference in Round 2, they may either accept their seat (Freeze) or go for higher options (Float).
    • Freeze: If the candidate is satisfied with the allocation even if it is not the first preference, the candidate can freeze the seat by online self-reporting and offline report at the allotted institute for admission and document verification with the given dates (September 07 to 11).
    • Float: If the candidate is not satisfied with the current allocation, they may go for CAP Round 3 and select the ‘Float’ option by online self-reporting within the deadline (September 07 to 10).
  • For document verification, candidates shall carry all the listed original documents and their Xerox copies to their allotted institute.
  • It is to be noted that the candidates who do not online self-report (and subsequently follow the requisite steps) will automatically be excluded from the seat allotment process. Such candidates will only be eligible for spot admissions (if vacancies are available).

    50% of the seats are reserved for the reserved category candidates and the rest 50% are for unreserved category candidates under the DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment.     All Private Institutions accepting DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment have separate fee structure. Candidates must note that if they seek for concession, they must apply for the concession by providing valid documents. ST/SC/PwD candidates can seek full concession of the tuition fees. Meanwhile the OBC candidates may apply for 50% concession of the tuition fees. Further, candidates must be domicile of Maharashtra only to avail the fee concession.

    Here is the detailed fee structure for the First Year and Direct Second year admission for the Non -Autonomous and Autonomous Government Institutes and Non-Government Aided Institutes for the DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic courses:

    • Development Fee: Rs. 1,000/- per year

    Candidates will be allowed to transfer from one institution to another or one course to another in the same institution if the following terms and conditions are fulfilled: 

    • The candidates have passed all the subjects or failed only one subject in the given years of education. 
    • The institution seeking to be transferred should be accepting transfers.
    • Candidates should fulfill the terms and conditions laid out by the principal of the applying college/institution.

    If candidates seek to cancel their admissions to DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic, they may raise their cancelation online. Candidates must fill out their cancellation request online through the official website. The Cancellation Letter will be issued, which candidates must print and submit the letter to the institute. The institute will deduct INR 1000 as processing fees and refund the rest through an online payment. Candidates may also collect their submitted documents within 3 days. As soon as the candidate files for a cancellation online, the seat will be considered vacant irrespective of the submission of the cancellation letter to the institute in concern.

    The Seat Acceptance Fee for DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment is INR 1000/-. The seat acceptance fee is non-refundable. This fee will be paid once when the seat allotment is released.     While reporting to the institutes, if the candidates are not able to provide the requisite documents against which the claims or Seat Allotment is done, the Seat Allotment will be cancelled, and the seat will be deemed as available. Hence, candidates must ensure to carry all the required documents in original as well as photocopies for the document verification process.

    Candidates participating in the DTE Maharashtra CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment must note that the Round 3 Seat Allotment will be the Final Seat Allotment. Hence, before choosing to Float their Seat Allotment, candidates are advised to think and make their decisions. If candidates choose to float their seat, and in Round 3 they are allotted a seat not as per their preferences, they will not be able to move upward as per their choice. Candidates must accept the seats allotted to them in the Round 3 Seat Allotment. Therefore, if candidates are offered seats in the second or third preference, they may choose to freeze and proceed with the admission process. Also, the Round 3 Seat Allotment will be on the basis of Seat Availability after the conclusion of DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Seat Allotment Round 2.
