Prakash Javedkar, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, has launched the e-version of ‘Rozgar Samachar’ recently. According to a statement given by the Ministry, ‘Rozgar Samachar’ has been launched with an aim to spread awareness about job opportunities that are available in the government sector, including the public sector enterprises, among aspirants. The platform will also give guidance and information about career opportunities and admission in several streams via career-oriented articles provided by experts.
Rozgar Samachar is a job journal that will provide information regarding job vacancies, training programmes that are job oriented, admission notices about exams related to jobs, and results of recruitment exams conducted for government offices, nationalised banks, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), etc.
In addition to this, the section of Employment News will also provide editorial content on career guidance and socio-economic issues that will help in broadening the horizons of youth. The statement also said that the e-version will contribute more and meet the emerging challenge of readers switching to various electronic modes of communication.

Rozgar Samachar has been priced at 75 per cent of the total cost of its version in print and the e-journal is available for an annual subscription fee of Rs. 400. Anyone who has the subscription can access the journal through the website of www.employmentnews.gov.in by clicking on the tab of e-version. This journal is the corresponding (English) version of Employment News.
Employment News is the flagship job journal from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India and it is issued on a weekly basis. It was launched in the year 1976 with the aim of providing information about employment opportunities to the underemployed or unemployed youth of the nation. The journal is published in three languages- in English as Employment News and in Hindi and Urdu as Rozgar Samachar. It has a circulation of above one lakh copies every week.

The official statement has confirmed that Rozgar Samachar and Employment News have been earning substantial profits on a regular basis. The journal is available all across India on every Saturday. Rozgar Samachar fulfils a major social obligation and also provides the youth of India with proper career guidance by experts. Unemployment is one of the biggest challenges that the country is dealing with and this venture is a fresh and helpful approach to take a step towards combating this problem.
