The annual convocation of Shiv Nadar University was held on 7th May. Established in 2011, the university is engaged in the study of a wide range of academic and professional disciplines, which is done through four schools currently Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Management and Entrepreneurship.
Vice-chancellor Prof Rupamanjari Ghosh was also present at the occation and also put focus on the journey of the university.
A total of 223 undergraduate and 64 post-graduate degrees were awarded to students who completed the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree programmes this year. Overall, 459 students from UP out of a total of 2,235 students on campus, and all of them performed well. They all have come through common merit-based admission selection process of college.
95% students of the first graduating batch of the college were recruited by prestigious organisations like Amazon, PWC, Cognizant, Tata, L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji, Dell and Schenider among others. College has an active alumni centre aimed at driving meaningful dialogue and interaction between the alumni and industry, faculty and students.
Recently college announced the launch of its two-year iGlobal MBA programme in the academic session commencing from July 2016. The renewed architecture of the programme is targeted to create global leaders of tomorrow, keeping the unique potential of each candidate in mind.
