Faculty Members of IIM Lucknow Appointed as Directors of IIM Raipur & IIM Ranchi

Two faculty members from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow have been appointed as the Directors of Indian Institute of Management, Raipur and Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi. Prof. Bharat Bhaskar and Prof. Shailendra Singh have been appointed as directors of IIM Raipur and IIM Ranchi respectively. Appointments Committee made the appointments, and the Prime Minister approved them. Apart from IIM Raipur and IIM Ranchi, appointments have also been made for 8 other IIMs.

Ajit Prasad, Director of IIM Lucknow, expressed his happiness over the fact that it is time for the institute to feel proud as two faculty members from the institute have got the opportunity to lead premier b-schools like IIM Ranchi and IIM Raipur. He further explained the role of IIM Lucknow in developing and mentoring other IIMs, particularly newer ones. He said that one of the core functions of IIM Lucknow is to contribute and mentor the newer IIMs.

The newly appointed Director of Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Prof. Bharat Bhaskar is from IT & Systems Department at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He played a significant role in the areas of Software Engineering, Network Security and Data Management. In 2015, Prof. Bhaskar also served as the Acting Director of IIM Lucknow.

The newly appointed Director of Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, Prof. Shailendra Singh is from the Human Resource Management Department of IIM Lucknow. Prof. Shailendra also holds a Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour. He has made significant contributions in the area of Education Management.
