Bej expressed his happiness about the result and talked about how the lack of education was a point of discussion for him. Even though it did not hamper his political career but he always wanted to complete his studies as everyone in his family is very educated. His son also left studies midway when he failed the class 10th exam in 2004.
Therefore, he decided to take up the exams along with his younger son so that he would be motivated. Both of them started attending the open school programme since last year which worked out very well for them.
BJP President, Madan Mohan Dutta, Balasore district said that the success of Bej proved that there is no age limit for education. It is a lifelong process and one can study as much as they want if they wish to. Having passed matric, Bej now can fill up the education column if he gets a party ticket in 2019 assembly polls.
