FYJC Candidates can now Check College Cut-Offs Online

First-Year Junior College Candidates can check the college cut-offs online on the admission portal instead of getting the big books of cut-offs. As per the reports, the state education departments of Maharashtra has decided that the booklets will only have the information about user ID details and other important information.

As of now, students of class X will only pay Rs 150 for the booklet which will have all the necessary information regarding the admission process, the cut-off for all junior colleges, ID, and password, subjects offered by these colleges, fee structure and a number of seats available.

Rajendra Ahire, Deputy Director of Education, Mumbai, said that the department has decided to make the process easier by making all the information available on online portal instead of printing the same. Students can use the admission portal and get all the details regarding information from there itself.

However, there has been an opposition from Yuva Sena regarding the online cut-offs system. According to them, the government should not do away with the booklet as many students who come to study in Mumbai belong to the rural parts of Maharashtra and the online portal might not be useful to them. They have even submitted a request to the deputy director’s office to not do away the booklet.
