GATE 2026 Registration without Late Fee to End on September 28 : The Indian Institute of Management, Guwahati, will conclude GATE 2026 Registration without a late fee on September 28. Candidates who are eligible and interested but have not yet filled out the registration form must do so by the given deadline at gate2026.iitg.ac.in to register without incurring any late fee.

If any candidate wishes to register after September 28, it is possible. However, they will have the provision to submit the registration with a late fee by October 9, 2025. After the registration is complete, a correction window will open for candidates who wish to make corrections to their application form. If any candidate wishes to make edits to their application form for accuracy during the correction window, they can do so by visiting the official website and logging into their portal. After logging in, they will find the correction window link, which they can click to edit details in the application form. However, candidates must be aware that not all details in the application form can be edited during the correction window. A list of the editable details has been provided below.

Gender	Candidates can change the gender from male to female or female to male; however, they have to pay a certain difference amount.
Category	Candidates can change the category from SC ST to general or OBC or general OBC to SC ST, but they will have to pay the difference amount.
PwD Status	If any candidate wants to change the PWD status, then that is also possible. If they change it from no to yes, then a fee refund will not be done. However, if they change the status from yes to no, then fees need to provide it as applicable.
Dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities	Candidates can change their dyslexia and other similar learning disabilities info. If any candidate wants to change it from no to yes, then they need to provide a valid proof.
Details of Parents/ Guardian/ Correspondence address	According to the original documents
College Name and Location, Roll number, Registration Number	According to the original documents
Exam Paper	Candidates can change the exam paper details, but the correction will not be without a cause; they need to pay the fees.
Exam City	Exam city change can be done. The fee will be waived if GATE examination city is in India.
