
GATE CS or the Computer Science exam is the first exam to take place. It will be held on 4th February 2023 in the forenoon session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur will organize the exam this year. The exam pattern has been released by the authorities on their official website- gate.iitk.ac.in. GATE CS question paper for 2023 will comprise 65 questions and the maximum marks of the paper are 100.
The questions will be asked from three sections- General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and Computer Science and Information Technology. MCQ, MSQ, and NAT questions will be asked in the GATE question paper. There is a negative marking for MCQ-based questions. Candidates can take 3 hours or 180 minutes to answer all the questions.

A couple of days before the exam, candidates must follow these tricks to score well in the exam-- Revise- They must revise as much as possible and avoid learning any new topics.
- Solve previous year papers- Previous year papers or sample papers can be solved by candidates in order to get a better understanding of exam patterns and marking schemes.
- Clarify your doubts- In case you have any minor or major doubts, do clarify them before the exam.
- Keep stress at bay- It is common for candidates to get stressed during the exam. So they must eat and sleep well and avoid stressing over the exam.
