CEO of Tech-Moghul Google Inc., Sundar Pichai will be interacting with the students and teachers of IIT Kharagpur. The session will take place at the institute at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 5, 2017.

IIT Kharagpur being the alma mater of Mr. Pichai, the event has been named "A journey back to the past to inspire the future." Mr. Pichai will enlighten the students and will share his experiences.

Mr. Pichai, who studied Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, graduated in 1993. After completing his graduation, Mr.Pichai had gone to the US to study at the prestigious Stanford University and attended the Wharton School of Business.

During his visit to India, he will also host an event in Delhi regarding small and medium businesses. An announcement related to Modi government's Digital India goals will also be made by Google at this event. The event will also be attended by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister of Information Technology.

Mr. Pichai’s first visit to India after taking charge of Google as CEO was in December 2015. In his first visit, Mr. Pichai interacted with the students of Delhi's Sri Ram College of Commerce. The event was called ‘Ask Sundar’ session and was hosted by popular commentator Harsha Bhogle.

At the session, Mr. Pichai answered various questions related to his career, personal experience, and Google. Emphasizing the importance of dreams, he said that one should always follow his heart in order to do better.

Google has been an important part of the Digital India campaign and is helping install free Wi-Fi at 400 Indian railway stations. The organization has also been working on an online safety campaign along with the Consumer Affairs ministry.
