- Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai is all set to host NASMEI conference.
- 11th edition of NASMEI will witness the participation of 100 doctoral students and professors from top business schools in India as well as global entries from UK, USA, Italy, Hong Kong and Australia.
Great Lakes Institute of Management, located in Chennai is ready to host the 11th Great Lakes North American Society for Marketing Education in India (NASMEI), an international marketing conference on December 22 and December 23, 2017. Every year, Great Lakes Institute of Management hosts the conference and Kotler-Srinivasan Centre for Research in Marketing organises it.
Earlier, the conference witnessed the presentations by doctoral students and professors from popular schools in New Zealand, Australia, France, Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong.
This year, the conference will witness the participation of 100 doctoral students and professors from top business schools in India as well as global entries from UK, USA, Italy, Hong Kong and Australia. The entries will also feature several areas of marketing such as services, strategy, modelling and consumer behaviour.

The keynote speaker for the international conference will be Dr. Priya Raghubir from New York University Stern School of Business. The conference will have two stand out features: -
- Research Grant Competition
- Doctoral Workshop
The Doctoral Workshop will be on research methods for doctoral students including Executive FPM, Executive Ph.D., FPM, Ph.D. or equivalent. The workshop will be organised from December 19 to December 21, 2017, prior to the conference. The content of the workshop will be unique, and the material covered in this programme has never been covered in Indian B-School Ph.D. / FPM curricula. Dr. Ana Valenzuela and Dr. Priya (City University of New York) will conduct the workshop.

As a part of the conference, Research Grant Competition is being conducted for the first time with an objective to encourage top quality research in India. The best research proposal will be awarded Rs. 1,00,000. The second and third best research proposals will be awarded Rs. 50,000 each.
