- Efforts are also being made to lift the quality of existing institutes and to lead them to the list of world class institutes.
- Achieving good rankings in lists like QS top universities in the world and QS subject-wise listings is also the ministry’s agenda. This way students will feel encouraged to get a world-class education at Indian institutes.
- Various exchange programmes have also been started by the ministry to rope in qualified faculty members from prominent international universities. Also, students will be given opportunities to study a semester at international universities for better exposure.
- In 2017, over 600 students are expected to visit the country to participate in various academic programmes.
