How many subjects can a candidate choose in CUET Application Form 2023?

CUET UG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 9 released CUET application form 2023 and the link to it is active until March 12. Along with it, the notification was also published and it was seen that CUET exam pattern with respect to the subject choices has been revised completely. Until last year, a student could choose one/two language subjects and a maximum of four domain subjects and as per the revision informed later on for this year by the UGC chairman, the maximum limit of domain subjects had been changed to six subjects. However, with the release of the notification, this has now been modified as well.

A candidate can now choose 10 subjects in total and in it, there is no minimum or maximum limit for either language subjects or domain-specific subjects. If a candidate does not want to appear for any language subject at all, then he/she can opt for all domain subjects and vice-versa.

However, this freedom of choice is only given so that a student can have a greater opportunity and option choices while selecting their universities and courses. Hence, while applying, students must first check out the eligibility requirements for their desired universities and courses. It is also to be noted that the choice of 10 subjects is optional. A candidate can choose a lesser number of subjects. For example, those wishing to for engineering courses can opt for English and PCM subjects while leaving the rest subject choices blank.
