CISCE has declared the result for class 10 and class 12 board exams. There has been a marginal increase in the pass percentage of the ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) result in 2017. Girls have outperformed boys once again with a pass percentage of 97.73%. The pass percentage among boys was 95.39%.
A total of 1,75,299 students had appeared for the class 10 ICSE exams and 73,633 students had appeared for class 12 ICS exams. The overall pass percentage of class 10 ICSE exam was 98.53%, whereas, 96.47% was the pass percentage of class 12 ISC exam.
Kolkata’s Ananya Maity topped the class 12 ISC board with 99.5% marks. On the other hand, class 10 ICSE exam was topped collectively by Bengaluru’s Ashwin Rao and Pune’s Muskan Abdulla Pathan with 99.4% marks.

Many students from Kolkata and West Bengal region were amongst the toppers of both class 10 and 12 CISCE board exams. Ananya Maity of Heritage School Kolkata, Devesh Lakhotia from St. Xavier’s Collegiate School along with Ananth Kothari and Sougata Chowdhury were the 4 students from Kolkata who made it to the top 3 positions of class 12 ISC board.

The southern region recorded the best performance amongst all regions in the class 12 ISC results. Whereas, the highest pass percentage for class 10 was recorded in the southern and western regions. Various schools also recorded 100% pass percentage for both class 10 and class 12 exams.
