Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination or ICSE has announced the revised schedule of Class X & XII ICSE and ISC examinations. The timetable has been rescheduled due to elections in five states.
The revised dates of Class X & XII examinations are as follows: -
- As per the previous schedule, ICSE Class X examinations were to commence on February 27 and conclude on March 31, 2017. As per revised schedule, Class X examinations will commence on March 10 and conclude on April 21, 2017.
- According to the previous schedule, Class XII examinations were to commence on February 6, 2017, and end on end on April 5, 2017. As per changed schedule, the exams will start on January 30, 2017, and end on April 26, 2017.

The Election Commission of India announced dates of general elections in five states which include Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa. The dates of elections clashed with the earlier proposed dates of ICSE & ISE examinations. Therefore, Council for Indian School and Certificate Examinations or CISCE has revised the schedule of examinations.

The rescheduling of examinations will have a positive impact on the candidates who are appearing for various entrance examinations. On the other hand, Class X students will get an extra time to prepare for board examinations.
On the contrary, CBSE also announced the date sheets for Class X & XII examinations. However, the students are unhappy as they have less time to focus on entrance exams. CBSE also rescheduled the dates of examination and postponed them by a week due to elections.
