IGNOU has recently announced that the application deadline for the candidates who wish to apply has been extended. The last date to submit the application form for various programmes offered by IGNOU has been pushed to February 28, 2018.
The university announced the extended application deadline while submitting the proposal and added that weavers community, who are taking part in Hastkala Sahyog Shivir and other applicants can submit their applications in offline mode till February 28 under the ‘special case’.
Additional time has been given to these participants so that they can complete their applications and submit them at the university. The university has also pushed back the last date for all the other programmes in order to allow students to wrap up their applications.

This is not the first time that the university had extended the application deadline for the upcoming academic session. Earlier, the application deadline for admission to 150 programmes was delayed till February 15 for candidates who were applying in online mode. The initial deadline was January 31, 2018.
The university had collaborated with the ministry of electronics and information technology in order to provide CSCs access to the students. This CSCs function as delivery points for social welfare schemes, education services and health care in rural areas. This has ensured social, digital and financial inclusion.

IGNOU has also started the application process for Ph.D. and M Phil programmes in regular mode. The session for these programmes will begin from July 2018.
