IGNOU Announces Admission Plan
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced its schedule for admissions to Bachelors, Masters, certificate and diploma programmes in the academic cycle commencing from July 2016. The last dates for submitting admission forms for certificate programmes of six months’ duration is June 15, 2016, and June 30, 2016, with a late fee of Rs 300.
For all other programmes of more than six months’ duration, including semester-based, annual programmes of ICAI, ICSI and ICAI, the last date for submitting admission forms is August 17, 2016, and August 31, 2016 with late fees. IGNOU regional director (Lucknow) Manorama Singh said that IGNOU offered some PG programmes like MSc in Counselling and Family Therapy, and Dietetics and Food Services Management, MA in Adult Education, and Women’s and Gender Studies only in the July session.
In the programmes offered by the School of Agriculture like Diploma in Value-Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables; Dairy Technology; Meat Technology, Production of Value-Added Products from Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds; Fish Products Technology, the candidates from rural areas will be entitled for 50 per cent fee concession while urban students below the poverty line may also be given 50 per cent fee concession subject to production of income certificate.
