Due to heavy traffic on the server of Indira Gandhi National Open University, many students who wished to apply for various programmes offered by IGNOU could not complete the registration process. Therefore, the authorities of the varsity have decided to extend the dates for the admission to Postgraduate Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma courses. Now, the candidates who were not able to complete the registration process or are willing to apply can do the same on or before August 18, 2017. The varsity will close the online registration portal after August 18, 2017.
On July 31, 2017, IGNOU has closed the registrations for Certificate programmes. Earlier, the varsity extended the dates for PGD, UG, PG and Diploma courses from July 15 to July 31, 2017. After receiving complaints from students regarding slow loading of the official website, the varsity has extended the deadline yet again until August 18, 2017. The varsity is unlikely to extend the deadline further after this. It will begin the academic programmes as soon as the process finishes.
Candidates who are willing to apply for various programmes offered by IGNOU can visit the official website and complete the registration process. For detailed registration process, click here.
After completing the registration process, the candidates will get a confirmation call from the Regional Centre. However, the candidates can expect a call only after August 18, 2017. The candidates can collect the study materials and assignment books from the respective regional centres.
The varsity also offers popular courses like B.Com & M.Com in collaboration with Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI).
The varsity has not yet uploaded the academic calendar on the official website.
