The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TiE Hyderabad for promoting DeepTech Special Interest Group. This collaboration has been initiated for nurturing the next generation companies and products in the deep technology space. These companies include Healthtech, Fintech, Agritech, Medtech, Technology for social welfare and some other areas as well.
IIT Hyderabad will be offering its support to this programme by providing a good pool of talented engineers, technocrats, Deep Tech knowledge base, and research and development capabilities. The intention of the Special Interest Group (SIG) is identifying, encouraging, and showcasing the leading products and companies pertaining to Deep Tech to the domestic as well as the global community of investors and customers.

This joint programme has the aim of identifying 6 to 9 innovative Deep Tech companies or products per group. These companies will have the potential to scale with a focus while being developed through the SIG. Throughout the process, they will get access to the correct set of mentors and their progress will be accelerated via several development programmes, TiE conferences, as well as participation in the global summits of TiE. They will also get to connect with the customers, TiE Angel Investor networks etc. and will have access to global markets.
The professor of co-innovation at the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H), Ramesh Loganathan, and the Executive Director of TiE Hyderabad, Phani Pattamatta, exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Professor P J Narayanan, the Director of IIIT Hyderabad, and Suresh Reddy, the President of TiE Hyderabad, Chairman and Founder of Brightcom Group.
