IISER Thiruvananthapuram has announced the dates of the Summer Programme for Visiting Students. B.Sc 2nd year, 1st-year M.Sc/M. Tech and 3rd year BE/B. Tech students will be preferred.
Like every other year, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram has started inviting applications for Visiting Students in their campus. The 2 months visiting programme will be conducted from 15th May to 25th July 2019.
IISER Thiruvananthapuram will be accepting students from the Science and Engineering streams for their two-month research program. The students who have a knack towards basic sciences and research in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics can apply for the Summer Visiting program at IISER Trivandrum.
1st-year M.Sc students, 2nd-year B.Sc Students and B.Tech or BE students of 3rd-year will be given preference while application selection process. The application form is scheduled to be out by 15th March on the official website of IISER Thiruvananthapuram. The candidates who are willing to apply must choose 3 schools of the institutes according to their preference for the selection procedure. He/she has to submit the following documents while applying for the Programme.
- Scanned copy of recent passport size photograph in JPG/JPEG format not exceeding 500KB
- Scanned Signature in JPG/JPEG format not exceeding 500KB
- Scanned proof of Date of Birth (Class X Standard Certificate, Birth Certificate or Passport)
- Scanned Marksheet of 10th Standard/secondary school
- Scanned Marksheet of Higher Secondary (10+2)
- Scanned copy of last University Examination/semester passes. For verification of studying stream and year
The candidates must have two reference letters from preferably two current faculties of the institute the candidate is studying at. The referees must write the letter objectively about the candidates, academics and their achievements by 15th March 2019. Letters have to be furnished online.

Selected students will get a scholarship worth Rs. 5000 rupees from IISER Thiruvananthapuram. Accommodations in mess or hostels will be arranged by IISER. Selected students will be informed through email and the list of selected candidates will be announced on the official website on April 10, 2019. Those candidates will then have to give their acceptance latest by April 20, 2019.
