The academic session at Department of Management Studies of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi started with a two-day summit. Both IIT Delhi and EDUGILD organised ‘AURORA’, a management summit on July 19 & July 20, 2017. EDUGILD is a Global Edutech start-up accelerator. The summit focused on global companies and their ideas in Edutech or education technology. It is the first summit of its kind where the entire education technology startup was at one place.
The two-day summit also conducted various discussions on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, 3D and Gamification. The discussions also laid emphasis on jobs management and next generation skills.

CEO & Managing Director of Invest India, Mr. Deepak Bagla inaugurated the summit. While addressing the students, he indicated that such summits and discussions play a vital role in representing New India. He further pointed that Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence have seen a huge activity in around 170 start-ups.
Giving an example, Mr. Deepak Bagla explained that Yoscholar is one of the companies, which wanted to bring change in the education system by offering a marketplace, particularly for school students. The market place offers a varied range of products and services from stationeries, sports, uniforms, counselling etc. Students will not have to search for specific companies to buy specific products, as all the products and services are available under one platform.

Mr. Deepak Bagla also explained about ‘AmbitionUp’, a platform that helps students in selecting their career path by recommending various courses and programmes that ensure employment opportunities.
