IIT Delhi is inviting applications for its “Free Online Course” on Artificial Intelligence and the last date to apply for the same is January 30, 2023. The programme is newly launched and will be offered for a duration of 12 weeks. The IIT Delhi free course on Artificial Intelligence is known as “An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” and will impart training in various subfields of AI. The course would enable students to apply for further advanced courses in various targeted domains of AI. While the course is free of cost, to attain a Certificate of Completion, students will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 as well as clear a test. The course is one of the most popular among the IIT Delhi free online courses with certificate. It will be delivered by Professor Mausam who is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington and an associate professor at IIT Delhi. The various dates for the course are mentioned below:

IIT Delhi JoSAA round 2 cutoff 2022 was released on September 29, 2022, and JoSAA seat allocation result 2022 round 2 was released on September 28, 2022, on the official web portal of JoSAA. Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA) released the seat allotment result and cutoff 2022 ranks for round 1 on its official website josaa.nic.in, on September 23, 2022.
IIT Delhi GATE 2023 registration process's last date is October 07, 2022. The late fee extension date for GATE 2023 registration was October 14, 2022. GATE 2023 exam dates are available on the official website. The registration process for the GATE 2023 exam started on August 30, 2022. GATE 2023 admit cards will be available on January 03, 2023. The GATE 2023 exam for IIT Delhi admission will be held on February 4-13, 2023, on different dates. GATE 2023 results will be released on March 16, 2023.
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, is among the Twenty-Three Indian Institute of Technology institutions to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India.
The establishment had been done as a College of Engineering in 1961; however, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was then renamed “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then awarded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its academic policy, conduct its examinations, and award its degrees.
Since its establishment in 1961, over 48000 have graduated from IIT Delhi in various disciplines, including Engineering, Physical Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. Out of these graduates, around 5070 received PhD degrees. Over 15738 number students graduated with a B.Tech. degree since then. The remaining students have obtained Master’s Degrees in Engineering, Sciences and Business Administration.

The entire amount of fees and other charges deposited by the students will be refundable after a deduction of Rs 1,000/ if the students do not wish to join the programme after paying the dues and leave the Institute by applying for a refund on or before the date of registration. No refund of fees will be permissible to students who have registered for the programme but leave immediately thereafter. In such cases, only caution money will be refunded.
Interested students seeking admission to IIT Delhi need to pass an entrance exam and qualify for the IIT Delhi cut-off 2022 marks and ranks. An active and dynamic programme of securing jobs for students graduating from the Institute is initiated by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi by inviting industries of repute and other organisations to conduct interviews. Wide publicity of the academic and extra-curricular activities of students is given to the organisations. Organisations that have hitherto not participated in the Training or Placement of the students are contacted actively.
The Institute offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to undergraduate students in engineering and technology. These scholarships are offered to about 25% of the students. The current value of Merit-cum-Means scholarship is Rs 1000/- per month for General/OBC/EWS students and the recipient is exempted from paying the tuition fees.
The Institute offers Merit prizes and Certificates to the top 7% of the students of each 4-year B.Tech., and 5-year Dual Degree programme each semester up to the 8th / 10th Semester. The value of the merit prize is Rs 2500/-.
The Institute offers free studentship to 10% of the students based on means alone.
Tuition fee exemption is admissible to all SC / ST/PD students irrespective of their parents’/ guardians’ income, Institute offers several other benefits to students from these categories.
There are several other scholarships in operation at the Institute. These scholarships have been established by grants from individuals, trusts and organizations.
Merit-cum-Means scholarship of Rs 1,000/- per month and tuition fee waiver are permissible to Master of Science students to the extent of 25% of the sanctioned strength as per Institute rules. Only those students are eligible whose parents’ gross income is up to Rs 4.5 lac per annum for all categories of students/ as per govt. orders as applicable.
The Institute doesn’t award any scholarship to the students of M.Tech., M.S. (Research), and Master of Design programmes. However, a scheme for financial assistance is in operation. Apart from the teaching/research assistantships, there are several fellowships and scholarships Instituted by industries and individuals for such students.
Although the Institute does not award any scholarship, a scheme for the award of Teaching / Research Assistantship for providing financial assistance to the students exists. Under this scheme, those students, who are admitted on a full-time basis, are offered Teaching/Research Assistantship, provided they are not getting any other equivalent fellowship.
The ambience of student life and activities on the campus is to provide an invigorating and creative environment which promotes independent thinking and introspection and leads the young students to become more aware of the consequence of their actions. Excellent facilities for accommodation to a large number of students, co-curricular activities, sports and games recreation, shopping, etc., are provided to the students on campus.
Special efforts are also made to promote and strengthen student-teacher interaction. Students Counselling Service has been set up to assist and morally support students in their initial adjustment, and also to deal with any difficulties, they may have during their stay at the Institute.
The Co-curricular and Academic Interaction Council (CAIC) of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has the aim to achieve maximal interaction between students and faculty, a good academic atmosphere and an efficient decision-making process based on consultation. Through these, it aims to promote the overall development of students for the maximum realization of their potential.
The council is a joint committee of undergraduate students, postgraduate students and faculty that provides feedback to the Board of Academic Programmes on all academic and allied matters. CAIC has the following constituent clubs:

Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth or SPIC MACAY is founded to introduce Indian culture and its beautiful art forms to the students. VIRASAT- the annual fest of SPIC MACAY sprawls over 3 weeks and compromises of performances and workshops in arts and crafts, theatre, films and yoga.
The Office of Career Services (OCS), IIT Delhi organised a two-day annual career fest ‘PRAVRITTI 2022’ on 18th and 19th of April with the theme “Reshaping Chances choices”. Most of the non-hiring events under PRAVRITTI were open to non-IIT Delhi students also in a virtual mode. The fest aimed to train students, assist them to connect with organizations and industry and enable them to gain a perspective on various career avenues so that they can make informed career decisions.
After a gap of two years, various student-led festivals were once again organised at IIT Delhi in physical mode. The annual science and technology festival ‘Tryst’ was organised from April 15th to 17th, 2022. In association with various technical clubs and societies at IIT Delhi, Tryst presented a rich variety of events like Drone Racing League, Robotics Competition, Coding Hackathons etc. The Institute’s social fest ‘Kaizen’ organised by NSS IIT Delhi was held from April 18th - 20th.
