The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) will be introducing several new degree courses and short-term certificate courses in its upcoming academic session of 2019-2020. IIT Delhi will also be starting a programme called ‘Professors of Practice’ which will be an attempt for enabling working professionals to teach at the institute. V. Mr. Rao spoke about the short term courses and said that they will be for working professionals. Students can apply for these short term certificate courses and through them, they can move up and get a degree if they are successful in clearing the examinations. A minor degree programme will also be introduced for students who are interested in getting training in entrepreneurship. IIT Delhi also has a Ph.D incubator in the pipeline which will be used to offer fellowships and resources for the development of startups.
