IIT Gandhinagar will soon come up with an initiative to provide non-IITians with an opporuntinty to study a semester at the institute.
IIT Gandhinagar (IIT Gn) has announced that it will scale up an initiative to give other students a chance to study at IIT for a semester and receive credits. The main aim of the initiative as per IIT-GN representatives is to enhance the diversity of the institute and extends research collaboration with other engineering institutes in India.
To be eligible for the same, students must be registered with at least one year of college from any known institute in India or abroad, and those students should be sponsored by their own institute. These are the IIT-Gn educational requirement, interested students can apply online with all the required documents. Professor Pratik Mutha, Academic Dean, informed that about 100 students have availed of the program and that most of the recipients are from higher educational institutes in Gujarat.

IIT Gandhinagar is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It offers various courses in the field of science and technology. The institute offers 27 courses in total and admission to the courses is on the basis of JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling.
