The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati has released an admission notification, inviting interested and eligible candidates to enroll for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme for the academic session December 2015.
The programme is available in the following subjects: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bio-sciences and Bio-engineering, Chemical Engineering, Design, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Centre for the Environment, Centre for Energy and Centre for Nanotechnology
Ph.D in Engineering: The candidates applying for this course should have a master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Medical Sciences/Veterinary Sciences/Pharmacy in a relevant area with a minimum Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.5 or 60 percent of marks.
Ph.D in Design: The candidates applying for this course should have M.Arch/ M.Des degree or M.Tech/ME degree in a relevant area, with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60 percent of marks.
Ph.D in Science: The candidates applying for this course should have a master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Design in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60 percent of marks.
Ph.D in Humanities and Social Sciences: The candidates applying for this course should have a master's degree in Arts/Commerce/Science in a relevant area with a minimum of 55 percent marks or equivalent.
PhD in Centres: The candidates applying for this course should have a Master's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Design/Architecture/Medical Sciences in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60 percent of marks.
Candidates are required to apply online for the admission to this course.
The closing of online application process will be on November 4.
