IIT JAM 2026 Registration Last Date Extended

IT Bombay has extended the IIT JAM 2026 Registration Last Date to October 20 until 11:59 PM. This extension follows the introduction of three new courses by IIT Kanpur as part of their admission process for JAM 2026. Applicants can register now, within the new deadline.

IIT JAM 2026 Registration Last Date: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay had initially scheduled the conclusion of the IIT JAM 2026 registration process for October 12. However, the deadline has now been extended to October 20, 2025, until 11:59 PM. This extension comes in response to IIT Kanpur introducing three new courses for admission through JAM 2026, which include:

i. Integrated Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy Engineering (minimum 6 years)

ii. M.Sc. in Economics

iii.M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Chemistry

As a result, candidates who have not yet completed their applications can now register and submit the required details by visiting the official website jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Eligible applicants must pay the application fee and upload necessary documents such as academic records, identification proof, and category certificates during the registration process.

Once registration is complete, IIT Bombay will open a form correction window in November 2025, during which candidates will be able to make changes to specific details, including exam centre preferences, category information, and uploaded documents.

IIT JAM 2026 Registration: Retrieve Login Credentials

Candidates who need to retrieve their login credentials for the IIT JAM 2026 registration can follow the instructions outlined below:

Visit the official IIT JAM 2026 website and go to the 'JOAPS portal' from the homepage.
On the login page, scroll down and locate the “Forgot Login Credentials” link.
Click on the link. You will then be prompted to enter your *Enrollment ID or registered email address.
After that, provide your registered mobile number and solve the captcha (mathematical question) displayed on the screen.
Click on the “Send OTP” button. An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.
Use the received OTP to recover your login credentials for the IIT JAM 2026 registration.
