Indian Institute of Technology Jammu celebrated its 3rd foundation day recently. IIT Jammu aims to provide students with tremendous opportunities to promote innovation and technological advancement.
Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu celebrated its Foundation Day recently and the chief guest for the event was Parvez Ahmed, Chairman and CEO, J&K Bank. The event was attended by many eminent personalities including Prof Ashok Aima (VC Central University), Manoj Gaur (IIT Director) along with faculty and students of IIT.
While addressing the audience on the Foundation Day, Parvez Ahmed congratulated the entire team of the institute and regarded IIT Jammu as one of the important milestones of the J&K state which will promote academic advancement and innovation in the state.

According to him, IIT Jammu will provide students of within and outside the state with excellent opportunities to promote innovation and contribute in the technological advancement for the welfare of the people of the J&K state. He further said that J&K Bank - the financial institution of the state is ready to support such initiatives of research and innovation in every possible way.
He further assured that J&K Bank will help IIT Jammu bridge the gap between the society and centre of knowledge. The institute as per his views should connect to remote areas of the state and collaborate with students from such areas for a constructive contribution in the society.

Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu talked about the expansion of IIT and IIMs across the country on the 3rd Foundation Day of IIT Jammu. As per him, this has helped to provide the youth of the country with relevant growth opportunities. Earlier, such opportunities were only available in big states and cities but now students have an option to pursue the same within the state.
