IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Programme 2025-26; Registration last date November 30The IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Programme 2025-26 is a global science and technology competition for nurturing scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills among school students. The registration for the 7th edition of YIP is ongoing from November 16, 2025, on the official website. Interested students will be able to apply for the programme till November 30, 2025. The YIP will be conducted primarily in three rounds, wherein Round 1 will be for idea briefing, Round 2 will be the semifinal, and the Final Round will declare the winners. Only the students who are currently studying in classes 8 to 12 will be eligible to participate in this programme. The registration fee for the IIT Kharagpur YIP 2025-26 is Rs 400/- per member in each team, and varies for international students.

IIT Kharagpur YIP 2025-26 Instructions to Apply
Students who are wondering how they can apply for the IIT Kharagpur YIP programme must refer to the following instructions to get an idea:
- The school Principal will have to assign a Coordinating Teacher to each team.
- The Coordinating Teacher will register the students at yip.iitkgp.ac.in by creating a team account.
- Each team of students must have 2 to 3 members and a unique name for their team.
- More than one team from the same school can participate in the YIP.
- The Coordinating Teacher will have to submit the details of the students on the portal and pay the participation fee of each member, including their own.
- Students will then have to prepare an abstract detailing of their project idea and scientific proposal based on the chosen theme and the Coordinating Teacher will submit this proposal on the portal within the specified deadline.
- The shortlisted team from the Round 1 selection process will be called to participate in the semifinals, i.e., Round 2.
The final winners in the IIT Kharagpur Young Innovators Programme 2025-26 will be decided on a few important criteria like the presentation of the project idea, feasibility, future scope, authenticity, originality, overall performance, etc. Students who qualify for the Round 2 semifinals will have to demonstrate their prototype with practical use. The final round will be focused on a question-answer panel of the teams and the judges.
